K L S E
Zion is like a radio station, where we are broadcasting the Good News†of JESUS CHRIST to all in our region. Evangel†– proclaiming the Good News†- is part of our church’s way of life, as well as our name & heritage since 1835.
To tune into Zion you need to know our call letters, (K L S E), which stand for:
KNOW GOD … LOVE GOD … SERVE GOD … ENJOY GOD
Each call letter is the first letter of a verb, calling you to an active Christian faith. The focal point of all of our action is the Triune GOD – the FATHER, the SON (JESUS CHRIST), & the HOLY SPIRIT.
We are calling you to come to KNOW GOD. To move beyond a head, or intellectual, knowledge about GOD, to actually get to KNOW HIM personally. This only happens thru HIS SON, our Lord & Savior JESUS CHRIST, as HE said in John 17:3, Now this is eternal life: that they may know YOU, the only true GOD, & JESUS CHRIST, whom YOU have sent.â€
In KNOWING GOD personally, you are moved to LOVE GOD with all of your heart, mind, soul & strength, as Jesus said in Matt. 22:37. And, LOVING GOD leads you to truly LOVE your neighbor as yourself, as Jesus continued in Matt. 22:39.
In LOVING GOD & your neighbor, you are moved to SERVE GOD & your neighbor. We are to SERVE GOD by SERVING others (from every tongue, tribe, nation & people). JESUS came to SERVE us, & HE calls us to be like HIM in SERVING others, as HE explained when washing the disciples feet in John 12:12-17.
And in SERVING GOD & others, you are on the road to truly ENJOY GOD & others. For JESUS said in John 15:11, I have told you this so that MY joy may be in you & that your joy may be complete.†This JOY starts in this life, & will be complete, full & eternal in the life to come.
At Zion, you will see people who are coming to KNOW, LOVE, SERVE & ENJOY GOD (FATHER, SON & SPIRIT) & one another. You will catch a glimpse of this new life radio station, K L S E, that is sweeping thru our church.
So come & help us broadcast the Good News†of JESUS CHRIST.
