Each service at The Refuge is laid back and informal. You don’t have to dress up. The focus is never on how someone is dressed, but on welcoming everyone and encouraging them to take the next step in their spiritual journey.
The music will be up to date, probably a little like what you listen to on your way to work. The messages Pastor Tim shares will be easy to understand, relevant and often humorous. He rarely uses technical religious words and on the rare occasion when he does, he doesn’t assume everyone knows what they mean. Stories and video clips are often used to illustrate the message and to make sure they are relevant.
The Refuge is committed to families and that means we’re eager to encourage everyone on their level. Children are welcome to remain with their parents in the worship service, but we also offer a great children’s ministry called The CLUB. It’s de-signed to connect with kids on their level, and to teach them about God and His love for them in fun ways. There is also nursery, preschool and children’s ministry.
We would love to have you join us any Sunday morning. You’re welcome whether you’ve never attended a church, or its’ just been a long time. If you attend and don’t believe this is the church for you we’ll even be glad to help you find another church that may better meet your needs. There’s no pressure because we’re most interested in connecting people to God, not The Refuge.
